Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a critical access hospital in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, requiring a minimum of 3 years of acute care experience and an active VT or compact RN license.

• Day shift schedule: 7am–7pm, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week)
• Every other weekend required
• General Med/Surg unit at a 25-bed critical access hospital
• Primarily adult patient population with occasional pediatric patients
• Provides medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• 13-week contract
• Responsibilities include coordinating comprehensive patient care using the nursing process for adult and primarily medical/surgical patients
• Works collaboratively with the Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor during each shift
• Unit Director serves as the direct reporting authority
• Travelers begin their assignment on Wednesdays
• All required credentials must be uploaded five business days prior to the start date
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

• Active Vermont RN or compact (multi-state) RN license required prior to start
• Current BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of acute care experience required
• Experience in a Med/Surg setting required
• Candidates must be able to manage adult patients; pediatric-only RNs will not be considered
