Are you a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse looking to provide exceptional care in a collaborative outpatient setting? NVRH is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our OB/GYN & Midwifery Clinic. In this role, you’ll deliver safe, high patient care while supporting efficient clinic operations and fostering a positive patient experience.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse, you’ll play a vital role in patient care and clinic flow, performing assessments, assisting with procedures, and providing education to patients and families. This position offers variety and autonomy in a dynamic outpatient environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Comprehensive Nursing Care: Complete patient assessments, including medication reconciliation, vital signs, and screenings, with accurate documentation in the EMR (Meditech).
  • Assist with Clinical Procedures: Support providers during outpatient procedures, assemble sterile instruments, and perform tasks such as injections and dressing changes.
  • Perform Safe and Effective Triage: Assess health status, plan and implement care strategies, and manage urgent calls and prescription requests.
  • Educate and Support Patients: Provide clear, age-appropriate education and training to patients and their support persons.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Work as part of a team, delegate tasks appropriately, and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Vermont RN license (or multi-state compact)
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Graduate of an accredited RN program
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a hospital or medical office setting preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
