7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12 hour Nights) with a 36 hour guarantee.
Job Description
This assignment is for an Adaptive Acuity Unit where travelers may be asked to provide Progressive Care Unit (PCU) care on occasion. The staffing ratio is 3:1 when providing PCU care. This requirement is non-negotiable.
Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality patient care in a Progressive Care Unit setting.
• Assist with the supervision of nursing staff as charge nurse.
• Actively manage patient care workload while adhering to staffing ratios.
• Administer medication and provide IV therapy as needed.
• Lead and support staff in patient care activities.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• 2+ years of current Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience.
• Charge nurse experience is required.
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience is strongly required.
• Drip management experience is required.
• ICU experience is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 3 months previous travel experience is required.
• Vermont RN License or Compact must be obtained.
• Active ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
