Your Day-to-Day

You'll be hands-on with mold setup, mold repair, and preventive maintenance on the production floor, reporting directly to the Plant Manager.

• Set up molds and automation systems for scheduled production runs
• Ensure all molds and tooling components are production-ready
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble molds as needed
• Track mold maintenance history and preventive maintenance schedules
• Diagnose issues and determine efficient repair methods
• Select proper materials and coordinate suppliers for timely repairs
• Operate tool room equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, and heat treating equipment
• Work from detailed design and engineering drawings
• Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators) to verify compliance
• Maintain tight tolerances and quality standards
• Provide realistic repair timelines and meet delivery dates
• Plan and lay out your own work independently

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of mold experience in plastic injection molding
• Strong experience with mold disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and design drawings
• Experience operating full tool room equipment
• Proven ability to track mold repair and cleaning history
• Skilled in precision measurement and working to close tolerances
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
