Overview

Vermont Smoke & Cure is seeking a reliable, hard‑working production worker to join our team. This team member ensures our goals are met in a timely fashion while observing the highest standards of safety and quality.

• Shifts:
  
  D1 Monday–Thursday 5:00 am–3:30 pm; D2 Friday–Sunday 6:00 am–6:30 pm
• Pay: D1 hourly starting from $19/hour; D2 hourly rate +20% shift differential

The Packaging Machine Operator works as part of a team to prepare packaged goods. This team member efficiently operates machinery specific to the department, adhering to safety protocols, ensuring accuracy, and delivering high‑quality products while minimizing waste.

• Operate and monitor packaging equipment to ensure efficient and accurate packaging of products.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the packaging process.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to CGMP guidelines.
• Assemble and fabricate packaging materials as needed.
• Package finished products according to specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Complete paperwork for operations and quality.
• Utilize machinery to carry out tasks.
• Work to mitigate safety risks.

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Experience working in a production environment, ideally with food or involving mechanical equipment.

• Problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication.
• Strong work ethic.

• Ability to lift 30–75 lbs. frequently.

• Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing plant environment.
• English is the primary language; training materials are written in English. For individuals who do not speak English as their primary language, translation will be provided.
