Details- This job is on site at our facility in Hinesburg, VT
- Shift: Monday – Thursday 5:00 am to 3:30 pm
- Hourly rate starting from $19/hour
The Packaging Machine Operator works as part of a team to prepare packaged goods. This team member efficiently operates machinery specific to the department, adhering to safety protocols, ensuring accuracy, and delivering high-quality products while minimizing waste.
Responsibilities- Operate and monitor packaging equipment to ensure efficient and accurate packaging of products.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the packaging process.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to CGMP guidelines.
- Assemble and fabricate packaging materials as needed.
- Package finished products according to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Complete paperwork for operations and quality.
- Utilize machinery to carry out tasks.
- Work to mitigate safety risks.
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Experience working in a production environment, ideally with food or involving mechanical equipment is preferred.
- Problem solving abilities.
- Effective communication.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift 30-75 lbs. frequently.
- Ability to constantly stand, walk, bend, and move around during entire shift.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and nonverbally.
- Regularly required to use oral communication skills.
- Learn and apply new information or skills.
- Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing plant and office environment.
- English is the primary language; training materials are written in English. Translation will be provided for individuals who do not speak English as their primary language.
