The Opportunity

We’re seeking a highly motivated, full-time senior payments implementation manager. This role is ideal for someone who is a builder - capable of taking high-level direction and translating it into clear processes and solutions.

You should be comfortable identifying inefficiencies, proposing automation or improvements, and stepping in to fill process gaps. While you’ll collaborate closely with leadership, you’re expected to manage your own path to execution as an experienced project manager.

You must also be confident in client-facing settings, whether over Zoom or in person. The focus of the role is onboarding new card programs. This involves coordination between sponsor bank functions, fintech clients, card networks, third-party vendors, and the card processor (as the system of record). You’ll ensure all due diligence and integration tasks are completed, and all stakeholders - both internal and external - are aligned.

Projects typically last around six months, though they can range from 90 days to 18 months. Day-to-day responsibilities vary depending on the number of active onboardings, but may include status check-ins, risk tracking, and ensuring that no tasks or follow-ups are missed.

The role requires strong Excel skills, including comfort with VLOOKUPs and formulas.

The Company

We are a full-service community bank that combines the reliability of traditional banking with the functionality and innovation of modern financial technology. While we operate with the mindset and service of a community institution, our reach extends nationally and internationally through strong partnerships in the fintech space.

Our core strength lies in supporting fintech companies in bringing financial products - such as cards, digital accounts, and loans - to market. We act as both a sponsor and an issuing bank, providing the necessary infrastructure to connect clients with the Federal Reserve and major card networks. For example, when a fintech company needs to issue payroll cards or other prepaid solutions, we serve as the issuing bank.

Our services include prepaid card programs, integrated financial solutions, and multiple tax-related offerings. We also have established programs tailored for specific markets, including homeowner associations (HOAs).

The business continues to grow through strategic relationships with fintech companies and a focus on operational efficiency and compliance. Clients work directly with experienced decision-makers, not through layers of approval or red tape.

We prioritize speed, accountability, and transparency in our interactions with individuals and small to mid-sized businesses. Our leadership team is accessible, and our staff is composed of professionals with deep expertise in both banking and emerging financial technologies. While we operate as a community-focused bank, our role as a banking partner to fintech firms allows us to support innovation across the broader financial services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the onboarding of Fintech and payments program management projects by becoming familiar with project scope, key stakeholders, and program objectives.
  • Personally execute implementation tasks, including the creation of detailed, final project plans before onboarding begins.
  • Engage directly with prospective clients and take ownership of their onboarding projects once they are ready to begin.
  • Recommend tools and platforms that support more efficient, automated, and documented onboarding processes.
  • Develop process improvements and scalable onboarding procedures with a goal of standardization (“rinse and repeat” model).
  • Gain expertise in Visa and Mastercard platforms, including service provider registration, new program submissions, and BIN creation.
  • Collaborate closely with the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) team to deliver a top-tier onboarding experience.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client communications during onboarding.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams to solicit feedback and identify opportunities for enhancing onboarding processes.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a centralized document repository (e.g., SharePoint, shared…
