Center Specialist II

The Job Center Specialist II (JCS II) will focus on supporting youth and young adults ages 14-24, delivering individualized case management, career counseling, and employment services. The specialist will connect youth to education, training, and workforce opportunities, while also engaging employers to promote the Department's services and create pathways for young workers.

Responsibilities include providing direct services within the Job Center, conducting outreach in the community, and collaborating with partner organizations to ensure a seamless system of education, training, and employment. The JCS II will balance day-to-day service delivery with proactive engagement of youth and employers, helping both succeed in Vermont's workforce.

This position reports to a VDOL Regional Manager and/or Supervisor and requires the ability to exercise independent judgment in carrying out responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifictions:

Associate’s degree or higher in human resources field, public or business administration, or human services fields.

OR

Two (2) years or more experience in customer service, employment services, human services, human resources, or a closely related field.
