Registered Nurse; RN- Cardiac Rehab

Position Summary

Works in collaboration with patients, physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team. Organizes, provides evaluations and documents cardiac rehabilitation. This is an outpatient program providing Level 2, 3/4 phases of rehabilitation.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited Associate or Bachelor degree program in nursing.
• Experience:
  
  3-5 years experience in nursing, including 2 years in a cardiac specialty service.
• Other Experience
• Advanced knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, electrocardiography and group exercise leadership.
• Evidence of leadership skills.
• Ability to establish effective relationships with physicians, fellow workers and patients.
• Knowledge of the principles and techniques of adult education.
• Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• Skill in the pharmacology of drugs important in the treatment of heart disease.
• Knowledgeable in diet evaluation and planning as it relates to heart disease.
• Skilled in techniques of cardiac rehabilitation.
• Knowledge in the field of adult education.
• Area of interest: nursing.
• Work Status:
  As needed.
