About the RoleAs a Mental Health Clinician at The Family Place, you will provide trauma-informed therapeutic services to children and families while collaborating closely with caregivers, schools, DCF, and community partners. This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships with families and to see the real impact of your work every day.
You will be part of a supportive, interdisciplinary team that values reflection, learning, and shared responsibility.
What You’ll Do- Conduct intake assessments, formulate diagnoses, and develop collaborative, family-centered treatment plans
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy, with weekly client appointments accounting for approximately 50–65% of work hours
- Offer crisis support for assigned clients and serve as backup support for team members as needed
- Collaborate with DCF, schools, and other providers to advocate for and support client needs
- Provide consultation and training to The Family Place programs and community partners
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and participate in program meetings and ongoing training
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a mental health–related field
- Licensed or license-eligible in Vermont and New Hampshire
- Training and/or certification in Child Parent Psychotherapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, or other evidence-based treatments for children and families
- Two or more years of experience providing individual, family, and group counseling with children, adolescents, and families
- Experience working with trauma, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, substance misuse, and poverty

- Annual Pay $54k to $87k
