Role Specifics and Benefits

As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will perform, review, and oversee a spectrum of tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology as assigned, ensuring specimen integrity, accurate labeling, proper chain of custody, and timely reporting. You’ll operate, calibrate, and maintain analyzers, automate workflows where possible, and uphold rigorous quality control and assurance standards. Your daily duties include specimen accessioning, preparation, and processing, running and validating assays, recording results in the LIS, verifying data with appropriate reflex testing, communicating critical values promptly to clinicians, troubleshooting instrument alerts, participating in proficiency testing, and ensuring compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, CAP, and safety regulations.

Beyond routine testing, you’ll contribute to continuous improvement projects, assist with method validation, and collaborate with laboratory leadership to optimize workflows.
