Summary:

Pharmacy Technician assists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications under the supervision of a pharmacist, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies. They manage customer data, provide medication counseling, support pharmacy operations, and contribute to achieving financial and operational goals.

Pay Range: $15.00 - $23.50

• Complies with all applicable federal, state laws, pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
• Prepares and dispenses prescription medications, all supervised by the Pharmacist.
• Follows directions from the pharmacist on duty and the pharmacy manager.
• Enters customer data into the computer, keeps accurate records, and completes all necessary paperwork relating to the pharmacy.
• Counsels patients and medical providers regarding the nature and use of drugs, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects.
• Performs general housekeeping duties as needed.
• Aims to achieve financial goals such as sales and gross profit maximization while minimizing shrink and supply expense.
• Maintains security of all controlled substances.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions.
• Possess basic computer skills.
• Possess strong communication skills.

• Walking:
  Frequent (3-5 hours)
• Standing:
  Constant (5-8 hours)
• Grasping/Finger Movement & Dexterity:
  Occasional (1-3 hours) in both hands
• Bending, Twisting, Pivoting, Squatting/Kneeling:
  Occasional (1-3 hours)
• Pushing/Pulling:
  Occasional (1-3 hours) up to 25 lbs
• Lifting:
  Occasional (1-3 hours) up to 25 lbs
• Equipment Used:
  Telephone system, Pharmacy Computer, Case Cutter, Marking Gun, Cash Register
