DS Team Leader - Newport, VT

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / SUMMARY

The DS Team Leader will support and assist the individuals receiving IDD services and their staff to follow the Individual Support Agreements (ISA) goals and objectives. These services may happen in the individuals home, place of employment, community and/or other environments. All services will be provided in a respectful manner and follow the Home and Community Based Rules, DD Act, and NKHS DS philosophy.

• Supervision of DS Service Coordinators, DSPs, or residential staff as assigned.
• Oversee scheduling and daily workflow for assigned direct reports.
• Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations to direct reports.
• Handle hiring, discipline, and termination of direct reports in accordance with organizational policy.

• Supervise assigned DS employees.
• Provide, coordinate, mentor, and document employees pre-service, in-service and on‑going trainings.
• Service coordination.
• Manage ongoing crisis in the areas of assigned responsibility.
• Manage individual budgets and cost center budgets.
