Overview

Job description: The Clinical Services Coordinator works in concert with the Education Program Director and School Management Team to provide clinical supervision, support, and training for program staff. This individual is also responsible for the direct supervision and oversight of Clinical Case Management staff, including the recruitment, selection, and training.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with School Leadership Team, and service providers to ensure the appropriate therapeutic setting, with trauma transformation practices and treatment. The Coordinator assesses student progress towards therapeutic goals using a variety of assessments to measure growth and effectively analyzes data from assessments, draws conclusions, and shares them appropriately.
  • Collaboratively creates a learning environment where every student participates and is valued, while using clinical practices that challenge, motivate and engage all students and facilitate active participation.
  • Assists in the development of goals for students, using clinical practices that reflect achievable expectations for work and behavior; engage all students in learning. Consistently adapts services, plans and assessments to make support accessible to all students.
  • Engages with families and builds collaborative, respectful relationships with them. Consistently provides parents with clear expectations for student learning behavior and shares strategies to promote learning and development at school and home.
  • Consistently collaborates with colleagues through shared planning and/or informal conversation to analyze student performance and development, and to plan appropriate interventions at the classroom or school level. Assists the Special Education Coordinator, in carrying out responsibilities required for the social/ emotional wellbeing of students.
  • Evaluates the performance of individual student behavioral plans and offers input regarding the subsequent performance of professional staff regarding their implementation of behavioral plans
  • Regularly provides advice and expertise to clinical team, behavior staff, teachers, and the school community to support the creation of appropriate and effective social/emotional learning experiences for students.
  • May maintain a small caseload or handle some of the more complex cases; performs a variety of direct clinical, diagnostic, treatment, and outreach services. The Coordinator oversees and may provide one-on-one therapy, group therapy, and integrated therapeutic practices in the school, and provides Clinical Supervision to those seeking licensure within the school.
  • Regularly reflects on practice, seeks, and responds to feedback, and demonstrates self-awareness and commitment to continuous learning and development and as a licensed clinician, is responsible for reviewing, informing, and approving required clinical paperwork (i.e., Psychosocial Assessment, and Individual Treatment Plans).
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work. Must have and maintain a current LCMHC or LCSWC license to practice in the State of Vermont. Must have the ability to provide clinical supervision for others seeking licensure, and the ability to diagnose and approve plans of care and maintain eligibility to bill for Medicaid services.
