Join our dynamic Deer Oaks team as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC). You will be assigned to a facility or facilities in your local community, conducting in-person assessments and providing individual, family, and group therapy, along with behavioral management services for older adults and physically disabled individuals residing in long-term care facilities. Deer Oaks has provided psychological services since 1992 and is a nationally recognized leader in the geriatric LTC field.
We offer accredited CEUs, ongoing clinical consultation, and a specialized training program for LCMHCs.

Key Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based psychological services, including screening, assessment, and treatment planning.
- Manage psychotherapy intakes and treatment plans.
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team serving patients in Long-Term Care facilities.
- Provide individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and behavioral management services.
- Adhere to ethical principles and professional guidelines.
- Fully licensed as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Maintains own counseling schedule and utilizes Geriatric Notes Tool (GNT) for timely session notes
- Maintains professional relationships with patients and facility partners
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Flexible schedule:
Monday–Friday, business hours, with part-time options; no on-call or after-hours required - Administrative support (billing, collections, insurance) to focus on clinical services
