Sr. Manufacturing Manager – Functional Mgmt Job Description Summary

In this role, the manufacturing engineering manager will have direct responsibility for a growing team of professional process and product engineers. The manager will provide technical guidance, mentorship, and facilitate career development discussions around the engineering technical competency model and succession planning. High‑level strategic action planning is required, including: technological advancement, P&E investment strategy, new product introduction, continuous‑improvement project management, and cross‑functional business collaboration.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • People Leader – Process and Product Engineering spanning multiple technical competencies.
  • Develop specialized knowledge in multiple engineering disciplines; serve as a best‑practice/quality resource; remain aware of the latest technical developments in one’s area; contribute toward strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within the area of responsibility.
  • Possess in‑depth knowledge of best practices; have working knowledge of competitive processes and the factors that differentiate them.
  • Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering; take new perspective on existing solutions; use technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations; use multiple internal and limited external sources to arrive at decisions.
  • Serve as an engineering and technical mentor for colleagues with less experience; may lead large projects with moderate risks and resource requirements.
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information; work to build consensus; develop persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within the field.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university + Minimum of 5 years of complex manufacturing environment experience.

Salary

The salary range for this position is $ – $ USD annually. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive plan. This posting is expected to close on Dec 10, 2025.
