Preschool / Daycare, Child Development/Support
Location: Charlotte
We are seeking flexible, dependable educators who enjoy working with infants, toddlers, and young children and are excited to step into classrooms as needed to support our program. Substitute needs sometimes arise in advance for planned staff absences, and other times occur day-of due to unexpected call-outs — flexibility and responsiveness are a must.
Charlotte Children’s Center is a small (but growing) non-profit, child-centered, play-based program that has been in operation for nearly 40 years. If you value outdoor time, community connections, collaboration, and learning together, this may be the place for you. We are proud to employ educators who stay with us for many years, and our families and staff deeply value the relationships we build over time.
Ideal candidates will have experience working in a childcare setting or comparable experience with young children. Experience with infants and toddlers is especially helpful. Coursework in early childhood education is preferred, though we are happy to train candidates who are new to the field and motivated to grow as educators.
Substitute teachers play an important role in maintaining consistency and care for children while supporting our teaching team. This position is well suited for someone seeking flexible hours while being part of a warm, supportive school community.
Hourly rate up to $20.00, dependent on qualifications and experience.
