Educational Assistant-Monkton

The Mount Abraham Unified School District (MAUSD) is a public school dedicated to providing a high-quality education for all students. MCS is a small happy school in Northern Addison County focusing on academics and student well being. • Assist teachers in implementing instructional activities and strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
• Provide one-on-one and/or small group instruction to students as directed by the teacher.
• Support students with academic tasks, including reading, writing, math, and other subjects.
• Assist with classroom management and behavior support, including implementing positive behavior interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Assist with the supervision of students during classroom activities, transitions, and other times as needed.

• This is a temporary, part-time position that will conclude on the final day of the academic school year. This role will not extend beyond that date.
• The position may require occasional travel between school sites or to attend meetings and training.
• This position reports to the school principal.

$22.46 - $26.95

• Associate's degree or Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Certification required.
• Previous experience working with students in a school or educational setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
Associate degree preferred.
