Paraeducator

Ferrisburgh Central School seeks a full‑time paraprofessional who will work to teach students effective executive functioning skills such as communication, social, and academic skills.

• Collaborates with teachers and service providers to support students
• Encourages and supports appropriate social skills, interactions with peers, and conversations with partners and small groups as they relate to behavior
• Applies and implements techniques per Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) guidelines
• Communicates effectively
• Make sound judgments
• Quickly adapt to changing situations
• Facilitates social and inclusive interactions among the student and their peers
• Supports assigned students with their classroom work in a separate learning environment on a temporary basis as needed or requested
• Other related duties as assigned

• Degree Preferred:
  High School diploma and two years of study (minimum of 48 credit hours) or Associate’s (or higher) degree or completion of Para educator Training
• Experience:
  
  1 year
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required
