Caledonia Central Supervisory Union (CCSU), Caledonia Central School District (CCSD), and Waterford School seek a Principal for the upcoming school year. The position starts on July 1, 2026, and is year-round.
Waterford Elementary School is a PK-8 school nestled between St. Johnsbury, VT, and Littleton, NH. Waterford School is a supportive and dynamic learning environment in a town that strongly supports its elementary school.

You have strong leadership and communication skills, and you develop/depend on teacher-leadership. You are a data-driven decision-maker who seeks input from teachers, staff, and the community and uses that input to inform your daily work. You set goals based on surveys, assessments, and student learning to improve the school’s learning culture, align resources, and make decisions focused on your school's improvement goals.
Principals in CCSU are members of a leadership team comprising all principals and administrators in the SU and work together to address the SU's wider administrative needs.
Job Duties- Leadership and Vision:
Develop and implement a clear vision for the school that aligns with district goals. - Staff Management:
Recruit, hire, and evaluate teachers and staff; provide professional development opportunities. - Curriculum Oversight:
Ensure that the curriculum meets educational standards and is effectively implemented in classrooms. - Student Discipline:
Establish and enforce school policies related to student behavior and discipline. - Budget Management:
Oversee the school budget, allocate resources, and ensure financial accountability. - Community Engagement:
Foster relationships with parents, community members, and local organizations to support school initiatives. Create and maintain formal and informal forms of communication through a variety of media. - Data Analysis:
Analyze student performance data to inform instructional practices and improve student outcome. - Safety and Welfare:
