The School Director is the sole colleague reporting directly to the Board of Trustees. While working collaboratively, the School Director holds school wide responsibility and ensures that essential decisions are made in a timely and coherent manner within the governance structure of the school to ensure:

  • successful delivery of all pedagogical programming and activities through their support of the Collegial Circle and teaching faculty;
  • seamless functioning of day-to-day operations, faculty oversight, and regulatory compliance through their support of the Leadership Council and Administrative Team;

While collaborative and consensus decision-making is the practice at our school, the Board of Trustees has granted the School Director the authority to act decisively and make independent decisions when necessary, informing and consulting the Board of Trustees, the Collegial Circle, and the Leadership Council, as appropriate.

All colleagues report directly or indirectly to the School Director and the School Director ensures all colleagues have the necessary resources to successfully meet all aspects of their individual role descriptions.
