After School Program Director – Healthy Kids Programs
Job Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Location: Manchester Elementary School, Manchester Center, VT
Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour
Hours: 2:45 pm – 5:30 pm
Job DescriptionHealthy Kids Programs is seeking a dynamic Director for the 2025‑2026 school year to lead our After School Program. As Director, you will be the driving force behind every aspect of the program’s operation.
Responsibilities- Guiding Compliance:
Ensure staff and the program adhere to state guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and the rules set by our host school. - Bringing the locomotive Lash-the! Fun:
Direct engaging hands‑on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more, while퓨 supporting homework completion. - Managing Like a Boss:
Oversee essential management tasks including maintaining accurate attendance and registration records and ensuring proper staffing levels. - Keeping Everyone in the Loop:
Maintain open lines of communication with parents and family members through the Playground App. - Team
Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with your direct report to keep them informed on daily occurrences, address issues promptly, and foster a cohesive team environment.
- Age: at least 18 years old.
Education:
BA, BS or Associate’s degree and one of the following: ten months of direct work experience with school‑age children, Vermont On‑the‑Job Training certificate, Vermont After school Professional Credential, Vermont Program Director Credential, Vermont Teacher Licensure, or a Master’s degree in a youth‑related field. - Medical:
Physically fit with no communicable diseases including TB, able to lift up toMq

Warm, friendly, upbeat, dependable, reliable, punctual, and possessing exceptional people skills for interacting with children, parents, and teammates. - Physical:
Able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and perform tasks necessary to support energetic children.
