Location: Putney

Landmark College invites applications for the position of Operations Coordinator for NSF STRIVE: the Science and Technology Research Initiative for the Vermont Economy. NSF STRIVE is a grant funded program that supports the expansion of the science and technology research ecosystem in Vermont.

Candidates for the Operations Coordinator should have the following skills:

  • Detail orientation and organized approach to work.
  • Ability to understand and follow processes and procedures while also assessing for improvement and efficiency.
  • Ability to manage tasks and workflow on multiple, simultaneous projects.
  • An understanding of STRIVE’s goals and how this position contributes to the project’s success.
Specific

Job Duties
  • Prepare paperwork for payment, get required signatures, and submit to Accounts payable for payment.
  • Track expenses and prepare drawdown requests.
  • Ensure the project manager or primary investigator remain in compliance with grant agreement and funder requirements.
  • Track reporting and ensure reporting meets funder’s requirements.
STRIVE Operations
  • Provide support for events and conference attendance.
  • Assist with data entry.
  • Assist with project communication plan as assigned. May include website updates, creating flyers, drafting communications, and other tasks.
  • Manage STRIVE’s electronic files, and Team access.

Other duties as assigned by STRIVE Leadership.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience working with or for community-based organizations and/or in higher education.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with electronic communications, social media, and databases.
  • Strong communications, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Must be computer proficient, able to compose spreadsheets, work with different databases, and be familiar with electronic document assembly.

This position is based in a vibrant campus setting, with general office conditions and occasional requirements for off-campus activities. Some travel may be required, along with the capability to handle physical aspects such as walking, standing, and light lifting as part of event management.

This position is funded with a three-year National Science Foundation grant.

This is a full-time position with some scheduling flexibility. This position will work in-person on campus.

At Landmark College, our compensation philosophy reflects our institutional values, our commitment to fairness and equity, and our role as a transformative educational community. The compensation for the above position is $42,300-$63,500.
