Office Administrator/ Coordinator, Virtual Assistant/ Remote Admin
OCRJC seeks a 12 hour per week Administrative Assistant to support the Co-Executive Directors in managing OCRJC’s office environment, in full support of OCRJC’s mission and vision! This position is primarily office based.
The position plays a key role in ensuring sound financial and operational policies to support an efficient, inclusive, supportive and positive work environment. The Administrative Assistant works closely with the Co-Executive Directors.
Responsibilities- Assist with calendar management, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings.
- Ensure all aspects of the OCRJC office are in good order and that use of space and equipment is maximized for productivity and staff and client comfort.
- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary.
- Coordinate the maintenance, renovations and space use for the OCRJC main office.
- Support bookkeeping tasks using Quick Books Desktop.
- Assist in administrative duties related to insurance.
- Assist the Co-Executive Directors in the administrative duties related to hiring and onboarding new staff.
- Oversee technology needs for the organization in coordination with our IT contractor, including equipment purchases, security, and changes to infrastructure. Ensure adequate policies exist to both support user needs and protect the organization’s assets.
- Introduce and train staff on collaborative technology tools that support a well-functioning hybrid office environment.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of policies and practices that increase the diversity and inclusivity of OCRJC’s workplace and programming.
- Be available as part of the OCRJC team to support large program events and/or engage in other program activities, and other duties as assigned.
- Collaborate with team members to improve office processes and enhance efficiency.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma (or equivalent).
- Minimum of two years’ experience working in office management, administrative assistant duties (or equivalent).
- Strong communication skills, including written, phone and online.
- High standards of confidentiality and professional boundaries, attention to detail, record keeping and follow through.
- Ability to work in a team environment, while also working independently as necessary.
- Understanding of the work of restorative justice, compassion for people who have experienced trauma, and experience working with people from diverse racial, economic, and other backgrounds.
- A systems-thinker skilled in building and strengthening organizational processes and procedures.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and proposing new ways of creating efficiencies, while supporting people and systems.
- High level of integrity and ethics and commitment to OCRJC’s mission.
- Knowledge of databases and ability to set up and act as administrator on program data databases.
- Fully competent in Microsoft products including Excel, Outlook, and Teams and working in a cloud-based office environment.
- Experience with grant management.
The Administrative Assistant must meet the requirements for background checks, have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Hourly Rate: $18-22/hour.
