The University of South Dakota is seeking a Director of Sport Performance & Nutrition for Football to join our dynamic athletic team and help shape the future of student-athlete excellence. The Director of Sport Performance & Nutrition will assist the Head Football Coach in developing and implementing a holistic student-athlete performance program. This role combines leadership in strength and conditioning, nutrition planning, athletic training coordination, and game day preparation.

• Sport Performance Leadership:
• Direct all aspects of strength, speed, conditioning, agility, recovery, and healthy habits for the football program.
• Supervise and collaborate with the Assistant Director of Sport Performance for football.
• Design and implement cutting-edge strategies to maximize team and individual performance.
• Develop custom meal plans for players and coordinate team nutrition planning year-round.
• Serve as the liaison between USD Athletics and Sodexo (or comparable partners) for nutrition needs.
• Collaborate with Sanford Health dieticians to deliver tailored educational and nutritional support.

• Act as the communication bridge between athletic trainers and football staff to address athlete needs and limitations.
• Partner with the head football athletic trainer to develop individualized activities for athletes with physical restrictions.
• Game Day Preparation:
• Design and implement pre-game and halftime physical preparation plans.
• Oversee all gameday nutrition and assist with sideline organization.
