Clinical Faculty, Nursing; QE

Overview

The Department of Nursing at the University of South Dakota (USD) is seeking applications for a 9‑month full‑time clinical nursing faculty member at the Vermillion campus. The faculty member will be responsible for providing clinical instruction predominantly in the simulation and lab setting for pre‑licensure students, with occasional direct patient‑care clinical instruction.

• Clinical teaching in lab and simulation.
• Evaluation of student learning.
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

• Current unencumbered nursing license and eligibility for licensure in South Dakota.
• Minimum of a master’s degree in nursing from a nationally accredited program completed prior to starting the position.

• Strong nursing background with experience in medical‑surgical nursing.
• Experience teaching in a baccalaureate or higher degree program.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills; exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with technology.
