Staff Accountant

Description Staff Accountant Opening A fast-growing company in Vergennes, VT is seeking a Staff Accountant for a long-term contract position, with the potential for permanent employment. This is a permanent, on-site role, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and assist with month-end and year-end close processes Analyze financial data and generate relevant reports for management Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial statements according to company and legal guidelines Monitor and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities Support accounts payable and receivable activities as needed Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies Participate in audits and provide supporting documentation as requested Assist with ongoing process improvements and special projects Requirements Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 1+ year of related accounting experience preferred Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Must be able to work permanent on-site
