ResponsibilitiesPosition Overview:
Provides professional peri‑anesthesia nursing care. Coordinates patient care planning with other hospital disciplines. May perform specialized tasks as outlined in the position competency check‑off and task elements. Participates in unit‑based educational activities.
- Current CA Registered Nurse License
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life (ACLS) Certification (required for Pre‑op and PACU and GI)
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (required for Pre‑op and PACU)
- One (1) year of acute care nursing experience
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) (Pre‑op and PACU)
- Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA) (Pre‑op Clinic, Pre‑op and PACU)
- ASPAN membership (Pre‑op Clinic, Pre‑op and PACU)
- PANAC membership (Pre‑op Clinic, Pre‑op and PACU)
- Knowledge of Det Norske Veritas (DNV)
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Word Processing software
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
