Functional Responsibilities
The Combat Systems Alignment (CSA) Engineer will perform technical and logistics services for CSA for AEGIS, AEGIS Ashore and non-AEGIS (to include but not limited to Nulka Launcher installations, AN/SPY-1 series radar installation angles, AN/WSN-7 alignment) and other combat systems.
Description Of Duties
- Develop CSA test documentation including updating and maintaining Training Qualification Standard (TQS) documentation, CSA manual and procedure development, process improvement recommendation documents, presentations for CSA related technical and logistics investigations and CSA training documentation.
- Collaborate with Combat System technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), ship personnel, and other Government stakeholders to ensure the readiness of shipboard combat/weapon system during test planning and execution.
- Lead in assessing the combat/weapon system’s readiness for planned events, including maintenance checks, integration, operability assessments, and other workup efforts.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of all potential and confirmed issues, such as software, hardware, and logistics, using Test Observation Reports (TORs) managed via a TOR database. Throughout the planning, execution, reporting, and analysis phases of each event.
- Perform CSA services across multiple ship classes, encompassing tasks such as train and elevation measurements, roller path inclination, installing benchmarks and centerline corrections, analyzing and plotting of data, and implementing corrections to weapon system elements to align with specified tolerance.
- Develop alignment test fixtures to aid in resolution of out-of-tolerance alignments.
- Manage, coordinate, and oversee successful completion.

Minimum Education And Experience
- US Military/US Government personnel with experience in Combat System and Radar Alignment in lieu of a Bachelor of Science degree.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or pure science.
- Minimum of 10 years direct work experience.
