We’re excited to offer the opportunity for a Tree Trimmer/Climber in Venice, FL. We bring more than 40 years of award-winning expertise to properties in Tampa, Bradenton, Lakeland, Sarasota, St. Petersburg, Wesley Chapel, Ocala, and surrounding areas.

Our team includes arborists, certified pest control applicators, horticulturalists and other experts who solve tree, shrub, flower, and grass challenges.

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN VENICE, FL

Position Overview

This position performs a variety of tree trimming duties, including palm tree trimming from ladders, operation of aerial equipment, debris removal, chain saws, pole saws, backpack blowers, and loading of debris. It also includes preventative maintenance of small equipment (cleaning air filters, sharpening and replacing chains, refueling and re-oiling saws), vehicle and equipment checks (fluids, tire inflation, greasing booms and chippers, and checks of signals and emergency lights).

The role requires preparing and operating a safe work site (set up/take down of safety cones and signs) and ensuring personnel protective equipment is worn at all times (helmets, fall protection, ear protection, safety glasses, and gloves).

Job Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain chainsaws, aerial lifts, and other tree care equipment.
• Assess tree health and identify potential hazards.
• Remove branches and debris from work sites.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tree Trimmer/Climber with at least 2 years’ experience.
• Knowledge of tree species and proper pruning techniques.
• Ability to climb trees safely and efficiently.
• Proficiency in operating tree care equipment.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment - Physical Demands

The physical demands outlined describe the type of demands the employee will encounter while performing duties. Technicians are regularly required to stand, walk, crouch, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The role may involve operating two-cycle equipment for extended periods. Employees may work in extreme weather conditions and operate mechanical equipment that requires strict safety procedures.
