Under the supervision of the Manager, Preanalytical Laboratory Services and Phlebotomy Supervisors, performs all duties of a Phlebotomist, including routine blood collection on all age groups to include neonates and infants. Additionally, demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to function in the Specimen Processing and Receiving area of the Laboratory and provide care appropriate to the age of the patients in the assigned area.

• Graduate of a vocational program in phlebotomy or 3 months of experience.

• Demonstrated knowledge of all relevant computer skills as needed for patient m and specimen processing functions.
• Demonstrated ability to interact successfully with patients, staff, and other healthcare providers and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
