Patient Care Access Representative
US Eye is a physician‑led, patient‑centric network of eye care practices. As a Patient Care Access Representative, you will maintain a friendly, warm, and inviting environment at the front desk, ensuring patients feel welcome and supported throughout their visit.
Job SummaryPatient Care Access Representatives are responsible for maintaining a friendly, warm, and inviting environment at the front desk/patient check‑in and/or check‑out areas. They must be polite, attentive, organized, and able to effectively communicate with patients and assist them in any way they can.
Responsibilities- Greet and direct all patients, visitors, and staff upon entry to the practice.
- Monitor reception areas throughout the day and provide assistance as needed.
- Provide a pleasant, prompt check‑in experience by verifying patient information and assisting with questionnaires and forms.
- Print daily team/physician schedules and cross‑check appointment charts.
- Attend to walk‑in patients, scheduling inquiries, and prescription/record pick‑ups.
- Disseminate pertinent information via telephone systems and computer software as appropriate.
- Maintain an orderly workspace that ensures safety and integrity for patients and staff.
- Complete appointment confirmation calls and collect co‑payments, non‑covered fees, and existing account balances during check‑out.
- Fill out essential reports and forms as requested.
- Answer and triage incoming calls in a high‑volume setting with professionalism, providing an exceptional patient experience.
- Respond to appointment requests via email, Phreesia, and other pathways.
- Collaborate with the contact center to manage the phone queue, maintaining service response times.
- Schedule appointments accurately according to practice templates and protocols.
- Meet productivity and patient care standards aligned with the organization’s expectations.
- Perform additional administrative responsibilities as needed.
- Adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations, following the Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
- Follow oral and written instructions.
- Demonstrate knowledge of materials, methods, instruments, and equipment.
- Read, write, and perform mathematical calculations.
- Maintain confidentiality and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Manage time to meet deadlines and organizational requirements.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Outgoing personality and detail‑oriented.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Optimal customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond positively to patient requests.
- Full‑time. Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. (occasional overtime).
- Location:
Venice, FL.
Excessive walking, standing, bending, and stooping; occasional lifting up to 10 pounds. Requires routine use of hands for handling objects, reaching, and speaking.
