C# Developer

Overview  We are Systematix and we are currently looking for a  C# Developer  for our client.
About the Project  Our client is a global life sciences organization specializing in scientific test and measurement solutions. They are seeking a Senior  C# Developer  to contribute to a global Research and Development team focused on a next-generation operating system platform.
In this role, you will work on desktop-based software that powers scientific devices and instrumentation. You will design and implement algorithms that process and translate complex, high-volume data into meaningful, user-friendly outputs. This is a hands-on development role requiring strong backend expertise, data processing capability, and experience working in technically rigorous environments.
About the Responsibilities  In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of backend components within a desktop OS platform supporting scientific instrumentation. You will work closely with other developers and technical stakeholders throughout the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities include:

Collaborating with a team of developers to design and implement backend features for a desktop OS platform
Developing algorithms to process, analyze, and translate large-scale scientific data into meaningful formats
Enhancing and optimizing backend data-processing capabilities to improve system performance and accuracy
Writing clean, efficient, and scalable  C#/.NET  code for desktop applications
Participating in all phases of the SDLC, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment
Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving software defects and performance bottlenecks
Contributing to architectural discussions and ensuring solutions meet technical, industry, and scientific standards
Requirements   Must-have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical discipline
8+ years of professional experience in backend development using  C#/.NET
Strong background in data processing, analysis, and algorithm development
Solid understanding of data transformation and presenting complex datasets in meaningful, user-friendly formats
Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice-to-have:
Experience or exposure to scientific devices, instrumentation, or regulated technical environments
Familiarity with WPF
Exposure to cloud technologies
About the Role

Location:

Hybrid – North Toronto (3 days onsite per week)
Duration: 1-year contract

Work hours:

37.5 hrs/week
Pay Disclosure  The average hourly pay range for this field is as follows (CAD):
Intermediate: 6–8 years of experience —  $65–75/hr
Senior: 9–12 years of experience —  $75–85/hr
Compensation is commensurate with these standards; exceptions may apply based on experience, skills, and market conditions.
