Overview:
$24.40 / hour
This is a vacant position. Candidates must be a minimum age of 18 years old.

Oversee daily activities of a small crew and ensure tasks are completed in a safe and timely mannerOperate existing park irrigation system to implement the turf irrigation program: ensuring maximum efficiency; appropriate schedules and application rates are applied as requiredTroubleshoot/repair various system components as required (heads/valves/piping)Assist in the installation of modifications to existing system or the addition of new systemsAssist in the implementation of the turf maintenance program as required (machine mowing, hand mowing and line trimming, seeding, sodding, backpack blowing and fertilizing)Winterize all irrigation systems, hoses and sprinkler heads using high pressure air compressorAssist in pre-season (spring) and post-season (fall) site clean-upAssist with other duties as requiredSome of our amazing perks and benefits:

Make our guests happy by delivering amazing experiences and helping them create lifelong memoriesInteract with different people of all ages and backgroundsGain skills, knowledge, and experience that will benefit in your futureQualifications:You!Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of automated/manual commercial irrigation systemsCertified Irrigation Technician status (Landscape Ontario) or equivalent is an assetFamiliarity with plumbing techniques and materials as well as turf maintenance equipment operation and practicesCandidates that are able to meet the physical requirements of the job including bending, lifting, utilizing hand tools and working in various weather conditions (must be able to lift, pull and push 20kg)Individuals that are able to work cooperatively in a team environmentCandidates with a valid Ontario Driver’s license (class G/G2) with a clean abstractIndividuals that are able to provide their own CSA approved safety footwearCandidates that have a reliable source of transportation, outside of public transitAvailability to work 6:00am-2:30pm spring, summer and fall and possible shifts from 12am to 9am during the irrigation season (Monday-Friday)
