Inside Sales Associate

Deck Mart Building Supplies is seeking two motivated and enthusiastic Inside Sales Associate to join our dynamic team in Woodbridge, ON (Hwy 7 and Pine Valley). One opening is a backfill following an internal promotion, while the second is a newly created role to meet expanding operational demands. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales and customer service, with the ability to engage customers effectively.

This role involves assisting customers in selecting products, providing product demonstrations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. As an Inside Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and building lasting relationships with our clients.

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits effectively.
• Utilize upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and maximize sales opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to provide accurate information to customers.
• Handle customer inquiries via phone and in-person with excellent phone etiquette.
• Process transactions accurately using basic math skills for cash handling and sales reporting.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain store standards.
• Ensure the sales floor is organized, stocked, and visually appealing at all times.

• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience in sales, with an emphasis on technical sales preferred.
• Experience in building materials or construction, distribution or retail preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills to create a welcoming atmosphere for shoppers.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency in conducting product demos that engage customers and highlight product value.
• Capability to upsell products while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory management.

Salary Range: CAD 22.00 - CAD 25.00

Commission: 1% commission of total sales

Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm - Low Season. Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5pm, Saturdays Rotation: from 10am to 2pm - High Season
