Position Details
What you will do:
Review and approve incoming vendor estimates to ensure quality and technical competence.
Providing Scope review and seek clarity from the vendor on estimates, negotiate costs with vendors/contractors.
Provide dispute-resolution services on estimate reviews relative to the CAA member, vendors and the Insurance company.
Provide advice to Property adjusters when exceptions are encountered.
Coordinate the appraisal resources to ensure assignments are dispatched.
Participate in the industry events and various special projects for the benefit of the claims department as identified from time-to-time.
What you have:
Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in building construction as a project manager or as a senior property adjuster with an insurance carrier
Working knowledge of XACTANALYSIS platform and XACTIMATE software.
Familiarity with the building code and hazardous material exposure management.
Educational background including relevant post-secondary education complemented by a CIP designation or working towards a CIP designation
IICRC Fire and Water restoration certification would be an asset.
Strong organizational; decision making and problem solving skillset with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Advanced technical knowledge of property damage analysis.
Advanced negotiation skills and investigative logic.
