Property Adjuster – CAA South Central Ontario

We are looking for a Claims Adjuster who focuses on member‑centric claim resolution and meets / exceeds key performance indicators.

• Investigate, evaluate, analyze, negotiate and settle property claims (low to moderate severity).
• Interpret policy conditions and confirm coverage for policy holders.
• Conduct investigations – take phone statements, coordinate services, consult contractors and vendors.
• Evaluate liability, salvage and subrogation exposure and potential.
• Contact and coordinate all parties involved in the claims process.
• Review and analyze initial losses to ensure file meets assignment criteria.
• Respond to client complaints and appeals.
• Determine proper kind of loss (KOL) reserves based on exposure and authority level.
• Examine claims files handled by Independent Adjusters when required.
• Prepare and maintain various reports on property claims.
• Provide general support for the claims area and special projects as required.

• Relevant post‑secondary education.
• 2‑5 years of prior property claims handling experience with 2‑3 years of customer service experience.
• CIP designation or working toward a CIP designation.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills are essential.
