As the Vendor Compliance & EDI specialist you will be responsible for the administration of the Vendor Compliance and EDI functions across all three of our banners here at Sporting Life Group. With this role you will support day-to-day operations, conduct investigations, and resolve issues related to EDI and vendor compliance.
EDI Management- Manage day to day EDI processes, including onboarding new Vendors and maintaining EDI standards and EDI compliance requirements.
- Serve as the main point of contact for the EDI provider (SPS, DMEDI, Orderful) and all EDI trading partners.
- Support EDI testing and implementation of integrations and updates for new and existing vendors.
- Support internal system EDI testing within D365 and assist with implementation activities related to EDI upgrades, process changes.
- Monitor the EDI production environment and assist in resolving transmission errors, including: mapping issues, duplicate transactions; data discrepancies; and ASN errors.
- Partner with vendors; EDI providers, and internal teams to investigate and resolve EDI related issues in a timely manner.
- Act as the point of contact for vendors, 3PL partner, EDI providers, and internal teams regarding vendor compliance matters.
- Maintain and update the vendor manual and associated compliance documentation.
- Monitor vendor performance and maintain compliance scorecards.
- Identify non compliance trends, communicate issues to vendors, and support corrective action plans to prevent recurring issues.
- Prepare non compliance chargebacks and support compliance cost recovery processes.
- Work cross-functionally with finance, logistics, merchandising, and operations to investigate and resolve vendor related issues.
- Support resolution of performance issues with underperforming vendors and provide ongoing communication regarding compliance expectations.
- Recommend improvements to vendor compliance standards and operational processed to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Post secondary degree or diploma in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge and experience with EDI and Supply Chain processes.
- Experience working with systems such as Dynamics D365, SPS (or similar EDI platform), DMEDI, Orderful, and Power BI.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office – including advanced Excel VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Table, Word;
PowerPoint. - Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Detailed oriented with a professional and accountable approach.
- Experience with the following applications an asset – Dynamics D365; SPS (or similar EDI); DMEDI;
Power
BI;
