Our client is a growing and successful manufacturing company located in Vaughan, and they are searching for a Software Engineering Team Lead responsible for hands‑on coding and leading a small but growing development team. This role will work closely with cross‑functional departments to improve internal tooling, integrations, reporting systems, and to help modernize and scale their software infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong technical execution along with strong people leadership.

• Enhance and maintain internal tools, APIs, and integrations that power production and fulfillment systems
• Collaborate with IT and finance to develop real‑time ERP reporting and dashboards
• Ensure system scalability and compliance with IT and security protocols
• Lead internal and contract‑based developers through clear sprint planning and execution
• Use JIRA or similar tools to drive alignment, transparency, and on‑time delivery
• Mentor junior developers and help build a high‑performing team
• Champion a culture of learning, efficiency, and innovation
• Document projects for SR&ED eligibility including problem statements, hypotheses, and tests
• Proactively identify improvement areas and align solutions with business needs

• 5+ years of professional, production‑level Python development
• Hands‑on experience customizing ERP platforms (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Net Suite)
• Experience optimizing CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops workflows
• Leadership experience managing developers or fractional tech teams
• Prior work in manufacturing, logistics, or fulfillment environments is an asset
• Experience using tools like JIRA, Git, and Agile development workflows
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration with non‑technical departments
• Clear communication and people‑first leadership style
• Knowledge of SR&ED requirements is an asset
