Toromont Cat is looking for Technology Technicians to work as part of a dispersed Operations Support Team that serves as the first point of contact for the support and optimization of all mining technology solutions within the Toromont territory. This includes Cat Mine Star System technologies and solutions such as telematics, production optimization, safety, remote control, and autonomous solutions.

Rotational schedules include both 14‑ and 21‑day rotations.

• Perform installation, commissioning and implementation of Mine Star solutions (hardware/software/calibration/processes)
• Perform software and component troubleshooting for all supported mining technologies, including network, guidance system (high precision GNSS), autonomy, and onboard machine components
• Recommend and document actions/repairs/maintenance to resolve issues with minimal impact on customers’ production
• Provide expert advice and coordinate with site maintenance and operations teams for technology maintenance activities
• Perform regular system health monitoring to ensure optimal operation
• Occasionally perform basic mechanical tasks or troubleshooting activities in collaboration with technical teams alongside current OST/St 90 technicians

• 5+ years of experience in a technical role involving troubleshooting, diagnostics, and successful repair solutions (e.g. electro‑technician, IT technician, GNSS, instrumentation, electronics, agricultural equipment, heavy equipment)
• Red Seal license relative to this position, following provincial standards
• Knowledge of IT solutions such as Linux, Ubuntu, FTP, Mine Star solution, Telnet, Tyresence, Trimble Business Center, Profinet, Can Bus, PLC5, and OMF
• Experience in open pit and/or underground mining (asset)
• Valid driver’s licence (DZ licence preferred)
• Flexible schedule availability for 14‑ and 21‑day rotational schedules
• Ability to communicate in English and French (strong asset)
