Senior Financial Analyst – Vaughan, ON

Our client, a respected and growing company in Vaughan, ON, has exclusively partnered with Harbinger Network to hire a Senior Financial Analyst to support their expanding finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Team, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining general ledger integrity, and supporting both internal controls and external audits.

• Manage full-cycle general ledger account reconciliations and month-end close processes
• Prepare and analyze complex bank reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure accuracy
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, reports, and related analysis
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, and depreciation
• Support year-end audits by preparing working papers and drafting financial statement notes
• Monitor and streamline expense processing and ensure compliance with procedures
• Assist in internal control documentation and process improvement initiatives
• Support positive pay exception reporting and monthly bank reporting activities
• Collaborate cross-functionally to provide financial insights and support operational decisions

• CPA designation is a must
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a wholesale or distribution environment
• Supervisory or Leadership experience is an asset
• Strong knowledge of Accounting principles - ASPE and internal control frameworks
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, formulas, and functions)
• Ability to improve internal processes
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong initiative and ability to identify and resolve issues independently
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a high sense of urgency
