Senior Financial Analyst

About Our Client Our client is sourcing a Senior Financial Analyst for a 6-month contract. About the Opportunity Support financial planning activities including budgets, outlooks, and operational planning.

Coordinate routine financial processes for a business area, including periodic close activities.

Provide guidance to project and operational leads on financial tracking, allocations, and reporting.

Review financial information to identify patterns, risks, and performance indicators.

Compare planned and actual results, highlighting notable movements and opportunities for improvement.

Act as a financial resource to non-finance staff, assisting with understanding processes and expectations.

Contribute financial input to project reviews and management discussions.

Prepare regular summaries outlining financial performance and emerging trends.

Assist with financial justification and evaluation of new initiatives.

Support the preparation of management-level financial materials.

Review work-in-progress and potential exposure items to ensure appropriate treatment.

Participate in maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations.

Support control activities to promote accuracy and consistency of information.

Provide coverage for other team members as required.

Undertake additional related responsibilities as needed.

About You Strong problem analysis and numerical reasoning skills.

High level of proficiency with spreadsheet-based tools used for financial analysis.

Experience working with enterprise financial systems.

Familiarity with reconciliations and review of financial statements.

Detail-oriented with a structured approach to work.

Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and support capability development.

Comfortable working with deadlines and managing competing priorities.

Proactive mindset with interest in improving processes and outcomes.

Clear written and verbal communication skills.
