Senior Tax Manager / Director – Public Accounting (Hybrid, Full-Time, Permanent)

Salary: $160,000 to $200,000 per year

Our client, a well-established and growing public accounting firm in Vaughan, is seeking a Senior Tax Manager or Director to join their leadership team. This is an ideal role for a senior-level tax professional looking to step into a high-impact position with long-term growth potential, including partnership consideration.

The Role
In this role, you will lead complex corporate and personal tax engagements, support high-net-worth individuals and owner-managed businesses, and provide proactive guidance on advanced tax strategies. You’ll also work closely with firm leadership and play a key role in mentoring the tax team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and review advanced tax engagements, including T1s, T2s, trust and partnership returns

• Provide advisory support on reorganizations, estate planning, succession, and tax minimization strategies

• Serve as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth clients and private corporations

• Oversee tax research and resolve complex tax issues, including CRA audits and appeals

• Collaborate with leadership on client development, strategic planning, and firm growth

• Coach and mentor managers, seniors, and junior team members

• Maintain a high standard of compliance, communication, and documentation

About You

• CPA designation required; CPA In-Depth Tax Program (Level 2 or higher) preferred

• 8+ years of public accounting experience with a strong tax focus

• Proven experience leading client engagements and managing a team

• Technically strong with excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable with a hybrid work model and in-office collaboration as needed
