Manager, Equipment and Operations

Location:

Vaughan, Ontario, Canada.

This Job is 5 days a week on site.

• Work closely with site managers and teams to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
• Lead key infrastructure and process projects — from layout redesigns to machine upgrades.
• Evaluate and recommend new equipment and technology to boost productivity and reduce downtime.
• Analyze production data to identify waste, inefficiency, or safety risks — then fix them.
• Optimize workflows and help standardize best practices across all sites.

• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Lead small-scale capital projects from concept to commissioning.
• Use data and analytics to guide investment and operational decisions.

• Lead a team of operators, technicians, and coordinators — setting clear goals and expectations.
• Be assertive, decisive, and supportive — a coach who motivates and holds others accountable.
• Build a culture of problem‑solving, innovation, and teamwork.
• Act as the bridge between operations, engineering, and leadership — bringing technical insights to strategic decisions.

• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (MBA or business training an asset).
• 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, or plant engineering.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, production lines, and heavy equipment.
• A natural leader — assertive but collaborative, analytical but practical.
• Strong business sense with the confidence to recommend capital investments or process changes.
• Desire and aptitude to grow into senior operational leadership over the next few years.
