Component Engineer

Join SCIEX as Component Engineer to evaluate and qualify commercial off‑the‑shelf components for Mass Spectrometry instruments.

• Support NPI:
  Source COTS components, establish performance baselines, collaborate with designers.
• Manage Existing Production:
  Recommend replacements, partner with cross‑functional teams to qualify new components and ensure continuity of supply.
• Bill of Material Assessment:
  Evaluate product life cycles for new and existing lines to support long‑term sustainability and performance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Electro‑Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years relevant experience as Component Engineer in an R&D environment.
• Proficiency with Product Data Management systems; experience with Enovia 3D Experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of change management processes for releasing new components and updating Bills of Material.
• Eligible for Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation.

• At least 3 years as an electrical or electronic circuit designer.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe applications.

Competitive salary range $111,333 – $122,500 CAD with bonus and incentive pay. 401(k) plan, medical/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, and comprehensive benefits program.
