Overview

Senior Mechanical Project Manager - Buildings – WSP in Canada. This is your opportunity to join our growing Buildings team as a Senior Project Manager - Mechanical (MEP). This role requires strong leadership, extensive experience managing complex mechanical engineering projects, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions across building projects.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the lead Mechanical Engineer or Project Manager on complex projects.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Lead a project-specific mechanical design team.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
  • Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure project success.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
  • Ensure all engineering work meets quality standards and codes, while ensuring client expectations are met.
  • Review and approve technical designs, drawings, and specifications.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in the engineering consulting industry with focus on the design of mechanical systems for buildings.
  • A valid PEO license.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, and standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects, including timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate complex multidisciplinary projects.
  • Experience with leading mechanical design teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Desire to participate in client management and business development activities.
