Position DetailsThis position is 50% in a French Immersion Grade 6 classroom. The position begins on March 30 and runs until June 26, 2026.

Qualification: Candidates must have French qualifications
- A1-A2 (Steps 0‑10): $57,269 – $102,938
- A3-A4 (Steps 0‑10): $63,855 – $120,384
- Candidates must be members in good standing or in the process of becoming Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) qualified with the Ontario College of Teachers prior to the start date, and be enrolled or have completed their French as a Second Language (FSL), or equivalent, based on Ontario College of Teachers qualifications.
- If you are external to the YRDSB, you must provide at least three (3) professional, supervisory teaching references in the online application screening section. We do not contact references prior to practicum/interview.
- If you are an internal YRDSB employee, include all previous teaching experiences and two (2) references, one of which must be a YRDSB administrator.
- As a French Immersion position, candidates must meet the Board's language standard for French Immersion.
- All applicants must provide a satisfactory police & Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) completed by a police service in Canada within six (6) months prior to the scheduled start date. Results must be provided to the Board upon instruction.
- Principal/Vice‑Principal who has supervised you and can speak to your teaching practice.
- Faculty Advisor/Coordinator or Practicum Advisor who has observed and evaluated your teaching practice.
- Host/Mentor Teacher who has supervised you and can speak to your practice in an elementary/secondary setting.
- Professional reference who can speak to your teaching practice.
