Position Summary (in-office)We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant for a 3-month full-time contract at our Vaughan location.
The Accountant will support the Finance Department in daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and month-end close activities. This role ensures financial transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with IFRS, company policies, and regulatory requirements, while contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate accounts payable sub-ledgers and assess working capital requirements
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including:
- Journal entries
- Accruals
- Account reconciliations
- Intercompany invoicing
- Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and financial reports in accordance with IFRS
- Identify discrepancies, post adjusting journal entries, and recommend process improvements
- Collaborate with the procurement team and liaise with external vendors regarding account inquiries
- Assist in preparing year-end working papers for external audits
- Evaluate financial processes and internal controls to support continuous improvement
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 3–5 years of accounting experience in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with ERP systems (Odoo considered an asset)
- Working knowledge of IFRS and accounting controls
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

The target hiring for this position is $60,000 to $70,000. Placement within our salary range will be based on factors such as internal equity, market conditions, and the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
