Join to apply for the Accountant (6-month Contract) role at Wyse Meter Solutions Inc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAccounts Payable:
- Support processing of vendor invoices, employee expense reports and property related contractual obligations for payment and posting into accounting system
- Support processing of remittance and posting into accounting system
- Support processing of payments
Accounts Receivable:
- Prepare and process sales invoices and post into accounting system
- Support processing of receipts
Treasury:
- Perform daily cash reconciliations
- Prepare outstanding cheque listing
General Accounting:
- Support month‑end and year‑end close process
- Assist with external audits
Overall:
- Assist with ad‑hoc tasks
- Support various projects on an as needed basis
- Maintain inquisitive mindset and identify opportunities for improvement to process
- Provide support to and maintain a positive working relationship with all departments to build positive employee attitudes and morale.
- 1-3 years of work experience in accounts payable/receivable and general accounting
- University degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Good knowledge of accounting principles
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP (preferred)
- Ability to successfully prioritize and multi-task
- High level of integrity, confidentially, accountability, and teamwork
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present analysis and finding in both verbal and written format
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and anticipate future needs
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships with relevant business teams
- Highly motivated and proactive.
