Process Engineer

A. Process Setup & Optimization   Set and optimize injection moulding parameters for thin wall IML containers.
Conduct mould trials, sampling, and validation of new moulds/products.
Optimize cycle time without affecting product quality.
Ensure proper synchronization of IML robot and mould operation.
Maintain standard process sheets for all running products.
B. Production Support   Troubleshoot process-related issues such as:
Short shot
Flash
Silver marks
Flow lines
Warpage
Label shifting / misalignment
IML pickup failure
Ensure minimum rejection and rework.
Support shift engineers and operators in maintaining process stability.
Ensure quick changeover and startup after mould change.
C. Quality Control & Improvement   Maintain dimensional accuracy for thin wall containers.
Monitor weight consistency and wall thickness.
Ensure proper label adhesion and visual quality.
Conduct root cause analysis for defects.
Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
D. Machine & Mould Coordination   Coordinate with maintenance for breakdown and preventive maintenance.
Monitor machine performance and efficiency.
Ensure proper cooling system performance (critical in thin wall moulding).
Ensure proper functioning of hot runner systems.
E. Documentation & Reporting   Maintain process parameters logbook.
Prepare daily production and rejection analysis reports.
Record trials and improvement activities.
Maintain SOPs and work instructions.
F. Continuous Improvement   Reduce cycle time and energy consumption.
Improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
Work on productivity improvement projects.
Support automation improvements in IML process.
3. Key Skills Required Technical

Skills:

Strong knowledge of Injection Moulding (Thin Wall Technology)
Experience in IML (In-Mold Labeling) process
Knowledge of:
High-speed injection moulding machines
Hot runner systems
Robot synchronization
Cooling optimization
Understanding of PP material behavior for thin wall applications
Ability to read mould drawings

4. Qualification & Experience   Diploma / B.E. in Plastic Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
3–8 years experience in thin wall IML injection moulding
Experience in high-speed machines (Husky / Haitian / JSW / Engel preferred)
